Kano State has teamed up with CloudPlexo, a partner of Amazon AWS, to provide local startups with $50,000 in cloud credits.
This support is aimed at helping the top 10 startups from the HEAT Hackathon 2025, which took place on October 11 at the E-Health Africa Auditorium in Kano.
The hackathon was part of the state’s efforts to drive digital progress and innovation.
It attracted 36 teams and over 150 participants who worked on technology solutions for important areas such as health, education, agriculture, and transportation.
According to a statement from the spokesperson to Governor Abba Yusuf, Sunusi Bature, the initiative is part of a larger plan to encourage innovation, help entrepreneurs, and empower young people through technology.
