Day nine of the first phase of the 3rd CGC Volleyball Premier League in Abuja delivered exciting contests, dramatic comebacks and crucial victories as teams intensified their push for favourable positions on the league table.

- Kano Pillars came back from 0–2 down to beat UCEM VC 3–2 in the match of the day.

The standout performance of the day came from Kano Pillars on Tuesday, who fought back from two sets down to defeat UCEM VC 3-2 in one of the most exciting matches of the tournament.
After losing the opening two sets 18-25 and 22-25, Kano Pillars mounted a spirited comeback, dominating the third set 25-13 before edging the fourth 25-23.
They completed the remarkable turnaround with a convincing 15-8 victory in the deciding set.
Lifecamp VC also secured an important 3-1 victory over Ajase Ipo, overcoming a second-set setback to claim the contest 25-21, 19-25, 25-22 and 29-27.
Offa VC maintained their impressive form with a straight-set 3-0 win over Sunshine Spikers, taking the match 25-22, 25-21 and 25-18.
CNS produced another commanding display to defeat COAS Spikers 3-1. After dropping the opening set 22-25, CNS responded strongly by winning the next three sets 25-21, 25-14 and 25-17.
NSCDC continued their resurgence with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Nigeria Correctional Service. The security outfit recovered after losing the opening set 23-25 to win the next three sets 25-14, 25-19 and 25-22.
The encounter between Nigeria Police Force and Defence Spikers was still in progress at the time of filing this report, with Defence Spikers leading 2-1 after three sets.

Speaking after NSCDC’s victory, head coach Samuel Ajayi expressed delight at his team’s improved performances.
“Honestly, I’m very happy that the boys finally found their rhythm. I think we should be fourth on the log after all those losses, but I’m happy that the boys have really found their rhythm now.”
In the women’s category, Olalomi Royal Angels completed a remarkable comeback from two sets down to defeat Anambra Queens 3-2. After losing the opening two sets 21-25 and 21-25, the Royal Angels responded with victories of 25-18, 25-19 and 15-10.
Nigeria Customs Service cruised to a comfortable straight-set victory over NAF Rockets, winning 25-19, 25-11 and 25-10.
VIP & Partners also recorded a dominant 3-0 triumph over Excelsior VC, taking the sets 25-20, 25-17 and 25-13.
NSCDC produced another dramatic comeback in the women’s competition, rallying from two sets down to beat COAS Spikers 3-2. After losing the first two sets 24-26 and 24-26, NSCDC fought back to win 25-22, 28-26 and 15-12.
Kada Emeralds maintained their fine form with a commanding 3-0 victory over Lifecamp VC, claiming the sets 25-22, 25-22 and 25-15.
Fire Service defeated Benue Queens 3-1 in another entertaining contest, edging a tense fourth set 31-29 after winning the opening two sets.
Defence Spikers also claimed a 3-1 victory over Nigeria Police Force in the final women’s fixture of the day.
With the first phase of the 3rd CGC Volleyball Premier League entering its decisive stage, teams are battling fiercely for valuable points as the race for qualification and top positions continues in Abuja.
