Angel Di Maria’s proposed move to Juventus must have taken a new twist after the Argentine’s agent Jorge Mendes was spotted to have arrived in Spain to discuss the player’s future with Barcelona.
Di Maria’s contract at Les Parisien has ended and his next move will be justified by a free transfer to a club of his choice.
Juventus are keen on bringing the forward to Turin on a two-year contract to bolster the squad ahead of next season.
But with the recent news emerging from a series of Italian media about Mendes’ arrival in Spain, Juventus have asked the player to give his decision on a possible switch to Italy.
According to Sportitalia, Di Maria is tilted towards honouring a move to Camp Nou and this would mean Juventus would have been edge out to secure the player on a free transfer.

Meanwhile, reports from Spain have alleged that Barcelona are ready to offer €5m for Di Maria with an additional €2m on add-ons.
The reports further revealed that the ball is in the Blaugrana’s court to decide which means Di Maria, who is expected to fill up the void that would be created if Ousmane Dembele decides to move away from Camp Nou, has accepted to switch to Spain.
The 34 years old having scored 93 goals and 119 assists in 295 appearances in the last seven years, has captured the attention of several high profile clubs in Europe, including Barcelona.
Barcelona, seeking to return to dominance of Spain and Europe have also made Raphilha a priority target but Leeds United’s price tag could restrict them from launching the offensive for the Brazilian international.
