Businessman and social commentator Isaac Fayose has publicly criticised Reno Omokri over his recent comments comparing petrol prices in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
In a viral video making rounds on Instagram, Fayose faulted Omokri’s claim that Nigerians still pay less for petrol than people living in the UK, arguing that the comparison ignored the huge gap in wages and living standards between both countries.
Reacting angrily, Fayose questioned why Nigerians earning the newly approved ₦70,000 minimum wage should be expected to afford petrol selling at about ₦1,400 per litre.
According to him, after covering feeding, rent, transport and other daily expenses, the average Nigerian worker would struggle to buy fuel comfortably.

Fayose stressed that comparing fuel prices alone without considering purchasing power and salaries was unfair and misleading.
He also accused Omokri of constantly defending government policies in a bid to remain favourable to political leaders following his recent ambassadorial appointment.
In the emotional clip, Fayose repeatedly challenged the logic behind high fuel prices amid rising hardship and low wages in the country.
The video has since sparked heated reactions online, with many Nigerians debating the realities of fuel subsidy removal and the growing cost of living crisis.
