The meeting was chaired by the acting Chairman of INEC, Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, who used the platform to update stakeholders on upcoming electoral activities and reaffirm the commission’s commitment to credible, inclusive, and transparent elections.

Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu emphasized the importance of continued engagement, while acknowledging the departure of former INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, praising his legacy of innovation and institutional integrity.

Reflecting on recent electoral developments, the acting chairman reported the successful conduct of bye-elections held on August 16, 2025, across 12 states, including two senatorial districts, five federal constituencies, nine state assembly constituencies, and two court-ordered reruns in Enugu and Kano States.
