  • You are Emilokan of Delta South- Edivri
  • We’ll deliver our son overwhelmingly – Aviara people
The Delta South APC senatorial candidate, Hon Joel-Onowakpo Thomas has charged the people of Aviara to support his ambition to represent the good people of Delta South in the tenth National Assembly to change the ugly narratives.

Joel-Onowakpo said this when he played host to Aviara ward 03. He promised that the ugly narratives of the senatorial district will be reversed if elected as a senator. He urged Isoko people to stand firm, resolute, and forge a united front, knowing fully that other ethnic nationalities in the district have agreed that the Isoko nation should produce the next senator as their desire will come to fruition.

“My dear brothers and sisters of Abiogu and party men and women of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Aviara ward 03, it is the turn of an Isoko man to represent Delta South in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly and we all must work tirelessly to achieve this great task.”

Joel-Onowakpo explicitly told the people of Aviara to take up the campaigns to the nooks and crannies of the kingdom because in doing so, discordant tunes will be reverberated to support the melodious tune of the Isoko nation’s clamour for the senatorial seat.

He said the people of Aviara must brace up and prioritize the project to ensure they galvanize the entire Abiogu kingdom to vote for their son, who is eminently qualified, in the forthcoming elections, to change the narratives for the betterment of Delta South.

The former Chairman, Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, said the Isoko people have over time supported other ethnic nationalities in the senatorial district to occupy jointly-owned political offices and in unison, without a rethink, they all agreed and are supporting his equitable and fair candidature for the seat.

In response, the people of Aviara gave their unflinching assurances to Joel-Onowakpo stressing that he is not the candidate of APC alone but depicts irrefutably, the candidature entire Isoko people.

While responding Barr Pius Edivri, one of the leaders of the ward, said Joel-Onowakpo is the Emilokan of Delta South senatorial district, adding that the time for an Isoko man to represent Delta South in the senate which renders at par the deprivation of the Isoko people with other ethnicities for elective offices, is now.

He stated that the Aviara people are energized for the task ahead and are ready to work assiduously to deliver their son overwhelmingly in the forthcoming elections.

Other leaders who spoke in various capacities, including Chief Samuel Odize, Mr Pius Egedovo, and Oghogho Ede underlined the commitment of the people of Aviara to the senatorial project reiterating their collective resolve to ensure their illustrious son is given 100 percent votes from the ward.
