The leadership of the council, according to him, recently conveyed a security meeting which had in attendance the Chairman and Secretary of Tiv Cultural Association, Jukun Cultural Association and all the relevant security agencies.
The acting council boss, who reeled out the security measures that have been put in place in order to prevent the outbreak of law in the council, expressed sadness at the way and manner some persons are allegedly working round the clock trying to frustrate such efforts.
The local government, as made known by him, “is surprised that despite these efforts, people still go to the press with false information aimed at misleading the general society. ”
He beckoned to the public to disregard the news of the purported crisis, saying, it is the imagination of the author of the false information.
He also called on the people of the council to go about their legitimate businesses without fear, as the council is working in line with the peace mantra of the present state governor, Dr.Agbu Kefas to sustain the peace the council is currently enjoying.
