Gunmen have reportedly attacked the home of a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) pastor, Austin Ifeji, killing his son and abducting his wife.
It was learnt that the assailants stormed the residence in the early hours of Monday, inflicting machete wounds on him before kidnapping his wife.
Reports indicate that the couple’s only son, who attempted to protect his mother, was shot and further attacked with machetes in the presence of his other siblings.
Sources revealed that the young boy was rushed to a hospital, but did not survive.

“The boy is the only son of his parents, with four sisters. He couldn’t stand how they treated his mother, so he confronted them. That was when they shot him,” a source said.
After taking the pastor’s wife, the attackers reportedly demanded a ransom of ₦30 million. It remains unclear whether she has been released.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Nasarawa State Police Command, SP Rahman Nansel, said the command was unaware of the incident, when contacted.
