Gunmen abduct many on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

Gunmen have invaded the popular Kara meat market along the Lagos-Ibadan express road and abducted scores of people who came to patronize the market.

Some members of The Redeem Christian Church Of God who were going back to their various places after participating in a two days ordination program were victims of the attack.

However, Lagos and Oyo States Police Commands have deployed operatives to go after the kidnappers so as to rescue the victims.

The incident came few weeks after the Department of State Security Services warned of imminent attacks targeted at crowded places across the country.

The Trumpet also sighted a team of soldiers heading to the location to support the rescue mission.

Kara market is where rams and cows are sold in large numbers along the Lagos-Ibadan road.
