A group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Nigerians for Bold Actions (NfBA) has called on the newly elected National Working Committee (NWC) of the party under the chairmanship of Senator Abdullahi Adamu to ensure the party mechanism is fair and equitable to all irrespective of tendencies.
The group made the call in a congratulatory message signed by its national chairman, Dr Taofeeq Olayinka Ayinde, and made available to The Trumpet on Tuesday in Abuja.
NfBA urged the party leaders to look inward and yield to the advice of President Muhammadu Buhari during the convention that credible candidates should be given the ticket of the party.
Dr Ayinde added that the emergence of Adamu and other NWC members has shown that the APC remains the party to beat, noting that the ruling party is set for 2023.
He said, “While we congratulate you on your emergence as leaders of our party, we wish to call your attention to the statements made by our overall leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari during the convention.

“We charge you to ensure that the mechanisms of our party work for all members and that credible and most acceptable candidates fly the flag of our party in all elections. We believe in your capacity and competence and we hope that you’ll take this party and Nigeria to the promised land.
“The whole Nigeria is looking to you for effective leadership by allowing the best with focus, capacity and grassroot followership to put and keep Nigeria ahead among nations, to emerge as presidential candidate of our party in the next primary election.”
The group further called on members of the APC to support the Senator Abdullahi Adamu led NWC. Stressing that the unity of the party should be prioritized by its members as the 2023 general elections draw closer.
