Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has taken steps to enhance the judicial system by donating 19 utility vehicles to judges and khadis in the state.
The initiative, according to the governor, is aimed at enhancing his administration’s commitment to strengthening the judiciary and ensuring efficient service delivery.
The 19 brand-new 2024 Toyota Camry vehicles were officially handed over during a ceremony at the Government House in Maiduguri.
Representing Governor Zulum, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Babagana Mallumbe, presented the vehicles to the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General, Hauwa Abubakar, for onward distribution to the judges and khadis.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Mallumbe highlighted the governor’s unwavering support for the judiciary, noting the critical role it plays in governance.
“As directed by His Excellency, it is my honour to hand over these vehicles on behalf of the state government.

“This donation reflects our efforts to strengthen the judicial sector and ensure that citizens have access to justice as we recover from the impact of 16 years of insurgency,” he said.
On behalf of the judges and khadis, Hauwa Abubakar, expressed gratitude to the governor for his continued support for the justice system in the state.
“This generous donation demonstrates Governor Zulum’s commitment to promoting justice in Borno State. It will undoubtedly enhance the judiciary’s operations and contribute to the delivery of justice for all,” she stated.
The vehicles are expected to improve mobility and efficiency within the judiciary, further bolstering the state’s efforts to rebuild and restore public trust in governance and the rule of law.
