Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has approved the dismissal of two senior special assistants, following damning findings from investigative committees probing separate cases of misconduct against them.
The dismissed aides are Abubakar Sharada, SSA on Political Mobilization and Tasiu Al’amin-Roba, Senior Special Assistant, Cabinet Office.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umar Farouk.
The statement said Gov. Yusuf, approved Sharada’s dismissal, after a special investigative committee indicted him as the mastermind of the bail of a dangerous drug baron, Sulaiman Aminu Danwawu.
Sharada’s was found culpabe in the controversial bail process through his personal testimony before the committee.
Sharada and another political aide, Musa Tsamiya, had been linked to the bail saga involving the former Commissioner for Transportation, Namadi Dala after a government investigation.
Similarly, the governor relieved Al’amin-Roba, of his appointment after his arrest for rebagging palliative grains at a warehouse in Sharada area of the state in 2024.

The statement further quoted the SSG to have stated that Al’amin-Roba has since been arraigned in court and is facing charges of theft and criminal conspiracy for allegedly diverting public assets.
The SSG in a letter dated August 8, directed Sharada and Al’amin-Roba to hand over all government property in their possession to the permanent secretary, research, evaluation and political affairs, office of the SSG, on or before the close of work on Monday, 11th August, 2025.
He is also cautioned them against parading themselves as a public official under the current administration.
Meanwhile the state government exonerated Tsamiya, the special adviser on drainages, who was cleared of all allegations by the investigative committee, affirming his innocence.
Gov. Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to discipline, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption, warning all public officials to uphold the highest standards of integrity both in their official duties and private lives
