Governor of Oyo state, Seyi Makinde has reshuffled his to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of his administration.
This announcement was disclosed in a formal letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Segun Ogunwuyi, on Monday, marking a strategic move to optimize governance.
In this reshuffle, Mr. Seun Ashamu, previously serving as the commissioner for energy and mineral resources, has been reassigned to oversee the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources.
According to him, the transition underscores the governor’s commitment to integrating energy policies with environmental sustainability initiatives.
Furthermore, the former Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Mr. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, has been moved to the Ministry of Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
This shift is anticipated to leverage his expertise in managing infrastructure development projects, facilitating improved transport systems across the state.
Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, who was at the helm of the Public Works Ministry, will now lead the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
His background in public works and infrastructure is expected to bring innovative solutions to the energy sector.

Meanwhile, Prof. Solihu Adelabu, the former Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, has been appointed to oversee the Ministry of Establishments and Training.
His educational background and experience are expected to enhance personnel development and training initiatives in the state.
Finally, Mr. Segun Olayiwola, the current Commissioner for Establishments, has been tasked with managing the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
His role is crucial in driving educational reforms and technological advancement in Oyo State.
Ogunwuyi emphasized that these changes are effective immediately, reflecting the governor’s proactive approach to governance.
He reiterated Gov. Makinde’s directive to all commissioners to perform their duties with utmost loyalty, dedication, and commitment to the welfare of the state and its citizens.
“This reshuffle is seen as a step in aligning the state’s strategic priorities with the capabilities of its cabinet members,” he said.
