Fulham have signed Shakhtar Donetsk forward Manor Solomon for the 2022-23 Premier League campaign after the Israeli passed his medical to sign a one-year deal.
The Premier League new boys are building up their squad for the new season’s challenge to retain their English top-flight league status and have secured Solomon as an addition to the club’s prospect.
However, reports reveal that the 23-year-old Israel international, who signed an agreement to move to Craven Cottage in June, will join Fulham on August 1 following the recent FIFA ruling on foreign-based players in Ukraine.
Solomon signed a one-year deal which means that on completion of his contract next year in June, he will return to Ukraine’s top flight club.
Following the acquisition of the player, Fulham’s co-owner Tony Khan described the forward as a talented layer whose intention to join the club was spelt out.
“Manor is a very talented young player, and he’s made it clear that coming to Fulham is his preference,” Khan said.
The club co-owner attributed Solomon as a player to make a valuable impact for the club by working hard to produce good results in the Premier League.
He added, “We know that he’ll work hard for our club, and we believe that he can produce and make valuable contributions for us in the Premier League,”
Meanwhile, Solomon has expressed delight to finally seal a move to Craven Cottage.
He said, “I’m really happy and delighted to be here at Fulham and I can’t wait to feel the special atmosphere at Craven Cottage.
The Israel international also acknowledged joining a club with a great squad, adding that he hopes to within the year, meet the expected target.
Solomon added, “There are some great players here and I am determined to help Fulham achieve its goals for the year. I also want to send a big hug to my friends and supporters in Ukraine. You are in my thoughts.”
