Nigerian music sensation, Davido, has remarked that football can lead to high blood pressure levels.

The Afrobeat sensation expressed his thoughts following Tuesday night’s loss by Barcelona to Inter Milan.

‘Football can give a person high blood pressure’ – Davido remarked about the emotional stress football causes supporters.

In response to Barcelona defeat by Inter Milan, the Nigerian artist took to the his X (previously known as Twitter) handle (@davido) to share a personal anecdote that highlights how deeply football evokes emotions.

“Football really can result in high blood pressure,” Davido tweeted, alluding to the anxiety and disappointment that fans frequently experience.

He reminisced about a time when CR7 invited him to attend a match at Old Trafford a few years back.

“He arranged dinner and everything! The party was set… But then they ended up losing the match.

The artist shared that the defeat spoiled the entire night because Ronaldo left the stadium in anger, cancelling their dinner plans and celebration.

Davido humorously concluded by mentioning that he still bears a grudge against Manchester United’s defender Harry Maguire for that experience.

“I was so upset, I went home… I still haven’t forgiven Maguire since that day.”
