The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has recorded impressive success at the maiden National Masters Athletes Championship, clinching gold and silver medals across multiple events.
The championship, held from May 1 to May 3, 2026, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, witnessed strong participation from athletes across the country.
Representing the Command, ASP Ibrahim Aliyu secured a gold medal in the 100 metres event, while ASP Alolade Olanrewaju earned a silver medal in the discus throw. Insp. Elvis Elaigwu also clinched a silver medal in the triple jump.
Commending the officers for their performance, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, described their achievements as a testament to discipline, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
