Ondo State government under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has announced embarking on the renovation of Central Depot Warehouse which was burnt by the ENDSARS protesters in October 2020.
The assurance was given by the Commissioner for Agriculture and Forestry, Mr. Olayato Aribo, during his visitation to the warehouse located in the Oke Eda area of Akure, the state capital.
The Commissioner said the warehouse was the largest in the state and is used specifically to store fertilizers and other agrochemicals, owned by Agric Inputs Supply Agency, a component of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Mr. Aribo further added that all necessary materials needed to fast-track the completion of the facility are in place and expressed satisfaction at the level of work done so far.

However, the Commissioner reiterated the government readiness towards improving the internally generated revenue, through hard work and development of technology at control posts to monitor truck movements at the borders, which he noted would assist the government to ascertain the total number of trucks that made use of the state’s borders.
He maintained that the government is proposing to review tariffs paid at the control posts because the fee is long overdue for review.
