Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, yesterday led top government officials and party leaders of the All Progressives Congress to pay a condolence visit to Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa following the passing of his mother, late Mrs Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa.

The Governor was accompanied by State APC Chairman Jarrett Tenebe, Deputy State Chairman Sylvester Aigboboh, Party Secretary Lawrence Okah, Secretary to the State Government Musa Ikhilor, serving commissioners, and other senior officials. He acknowledged the inevitability of death while praising the late matriarch for a life well-lived, urging the family to draw strength from her legacy.

Senator Adams Oshiomhole described Mrs Idahosa as not only the Deputy Governor’s mother but also a mother figure to the party and the state. He encouraged the family to mourn with faith, highlighting her fulfilment in seeing her children grow into successful leaders.
Responding on behalf of the Idahosa family, Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa thanked the Governor and party leaders for their immediate support, noting the significance of their visit less than 24 hours after his mother’s passing. He acknowledged the Governor’s guidance and political mentorship, which he described as invaluable throughout his career.
The condolence visit underscores solidarity within Edo State’s political leadership and highlights the importance of support and prayers during times of personal loss.
