The Edo State acting Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has reiterated the state government’s drive to boost technical and vocational education and training in the state, noting that the state intends to become the home to the best trained technicians and craftsmen in Nigeria.

Shaibu said this during a visit to the Benin Technical College to ascertain the progress of work.

“The idea of the school, beyond training quality manpower, is also to make it best in class, not for the benefit of Edo people but for the entire country. We are creating a world standard technical college that will produce quality human capital for our state to become a centre of excellence. Graduates from the college will be in demand as a result of their expertise and thorough training,” he said. The Trumpet Gathered
