The Edo State Government has called on residents, motorists, and other road users to exercise patience and cooperate with contractors and government officials as construction begins on the second flyover bridge at the Adesuwa–Sapele Road intersection in Benin City.
The appeal was contained in a statement issued by Olotu Henrietta, Public Relations Officer, Ministry of Works, urging the public to obey all traffic diversion signs and make use of alternative routes during the construction period.

According to the statement, “Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that construction work has commenced on the second flyover project at Adesuwa Road Junction, along Sapele Road, Benin City. Residents and motorists are kindly advised to cooperate with contractors and government officials on site, adhere to all traffic diversion signs, and make use of alternative routes during the construction period.”
The government assured that the project is part of ongoing efforts to enhance road infrastructure, ease traffic congestion, and boost economic activities across the state.
