Edo community Idumu-Ohanle’s development association holds AGM

Idumu-Ohanlen Development Association (IDA) Worldwide has held its 3rd Annual General Meeting in Ubiaja, Edo State. The event takes place every year at Easter.

The president of IDA Worldwide, Elder Sylvester Ubiaza, commended all who attended the AGM and those who joined via zoom.

He further appreciated the various groups in IdumuOhanlen and neighbouring communities present namely, Egbama, Egbonurele, Edion, Eniwho, Ehuan, as well as nonmembers of the association and settlers.

According to him, the association has empowered Idumhu-Ohanlen’s old and young people since it was created in April 2019 and registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria.

Under the year in review, the association has paid NECO and WAEC registration fees for students and reclaimed the NITEL land from grabbers, The Trumpet gathered.

The association also gave paliatives to idumu-Ohanlen people and settlers during Covid-19 cost as well as scholarships to all of the community ‘s students studying science courses anywhere in Nigeria.

Idumu-hanlen youths who learnt trade and are certified have been getting support for startup businesses as free loans. Idumu-Ohanle women have also been empowered for existing and new small businesses without interest charges.

The association set up a conflict resolution committee to mediate between IdumuOhanlen indigines in court and other places.

The report was made available by the association’s secretary Elder Akhere Imayi in the company of Dr. Ralph Inyinbor and the youth leader, Mr. Patrick Abhagbamhen. The president commended the cooperation among the great IdumuOhanlen people worldwide.
