Crystal Palace Football Club has failed again in his bid to secure the services of Arsenal’s young star, Eddie Nketial after trying to sign the player earlier this month and last summer’s transfer window.
From the record, Nketial’s contract which will be expiring at the end of the season has the option ahead of next season to sign a pre-contract agreement with other foreign clubs.
The Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen has been keeping tabs on the progress of the Arsenal striker and has also been monitoring the transfer development to ascertain his availability.
The manager of Arsenal, Mikel Arteta, has disclosed his desire to retain the player at the club.
In his press statement earlier in January, Arteta said, “I have already spoken with Eddie about how I feel about him and the intentions of the club.
“He is with us and every day, he shows me that he wants to stay with us,” he added.

Nketial had earlier turned down the offer for a new contract from Arsenal to keep him at the club.
However, the player who is yet to start a Premier League game this season already has five goals to his name from five Carabao Cup matches in the build-up to the semi-finals.
He has also recorded his first-ever senior hat-trick in Arsenal’s jersey in a 5-1 win against Sunderland in the quarter-final.
