A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has urged Nigerians not to lose hope despite current economic challenges, while extending Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful across the country.
In a statement issued on Friday, Eze called on citizens to use the festive period to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity and prosperity, stressing that national progress requires collective faith and resilience.
The APC stalwart, who is also a former National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New Peoples Democratic Party, expressed concern over the country’s economic situation and governance, but encouraged Nigerians to remain optimistic about the nation’s future.
Eze criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu, linking current hardships to policy decisions, while maintaining that citizens should not abandon hope in the country’s democratic journey.
He also projected the African Democratic Congress as an alternative political force, stating that the party is positioning itself to “rescue and rebuild” Nigeria ahead of future elections.

Eze noted that this year’s Eid celebration coincides with the end of the Christian Lenten season, describing the overlap as symbolic of shared spiritual values across religious lines.
He extended special greetings to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and other Muslim faithful, urging Nigerians to remain steadfast and committed to national development despite prevailing challenges.
The APC chieftain reiterated his belief that Nigeria can overcome its current difficulties through collective effort, unity and responsible leadership.
