A livestream shared shortly after his release showed DJ Chicken smiling inside a vehicle alongside his lawyer as he interacted with supporters online.

DJ Chicken had been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre after he was arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Ogba, Lagos, over allegations of threatening to kill Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu.

He faces a three-count charge bordering on alleged cybercrime offences, breach of peace and making threats to kill, following a viral video in which he allegedly made remarks about the 2027 presidential election.

Although the content creator later apologised, saying the comments were intended as a joke to attract attention and increase his online popularity, he was subsequently arrested and charged.
