The Taraba State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) State Project Implementation Unit (SPIU) has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality, climate-resilient infrastructure following an inspection of the ongoing Ndibam Gully Erosion Project in Takum Local Government Area.

The inspection, carried out in line with the directive of the Task Team Leader (TTL), took place before the project team departed Takum for Jalingo. The exercise was designed to evaluate the level of progress on the project and identify any issues requiring prompt attention.
According to the inspection team, work on the project is progressing satisfactorily, with the contractor fully mobilised and construction activities advancing in line with the approved implementation schedule.
The team observed that key components of the intervention, including earthworks, drainage infrastructure, and foundation works, have reached various stages of completion. It further confirmed that all ongoing works comply with approved engineering specifications, reflecting strict adherence to quality standards.
The inspection also revealed that construction materials and equipment are adequately available on-site, demonstrating the contractor’s capacity to sustain the current pace of work and deliver the project within the stipulated timeline.

The inspection further underscores ACReSAL’s commitment to effective project monitoring, transparency, accountability, and the delivery of climate-resilient infrastructure aimed at protecting vulnerable communities from land degradation and gully erosion across Taraba State.
