Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has received another reduction to his prison sentence, with U.S. prison authorities moving his expected release date forward by an additional two months.
Key Highlights:
- Sean Combs received another reduction in his prison sentence.
- His projected release date was moved to February 23, 2028.
- Combs is serving a 50-month sentence on prostitution-related convictions.
- The reduction is reportedly linked to good conduct and rehabilitation efforts.
- He is continuing to appeal his conviction.
The latest adjustment means Combs is now scheduled to be released on February 23, 2028, instead of April 15, 2028.
His original projected release date had been June 4, 2028, before it was first moved to April 28 and later April 15.
The reduction comes as Combs continues serving a 50-month prison sentence following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
He was acquitted of more serious charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, during his high-profile federal trial last year.

Authorities have not publicly explained the latest sentence reduction.
However, reports suggest it may be linked to Combs’ good conduct in prison and his participation in a drug rehabilitation programme at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey.
Before his sentencing, defence attorney Teny Geragos had urged the court to recommend Combs’ placement at FCI Fort Dix, arguing that the facility would better support rehabilitation, family visitation and treatment programmes.
Despite the revised release date, Combs continues to challenge his conviction through the appeals process.
