Despite the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine that has impacted negatively on Nigeria’s economy, Russia’s companies are still keen on investing in Nigeria.
Chairman of Nigerians in the Diaspora Organisation Europe (NIDOE) chapter, Sampson Uwem-Edimo said some Russian banks were seeking opportunities to partner with Nigerian banks to enhance the country’s financial industry. The Trumpet gathered.

Uwem-Edimo noted that Russian firms were still interested in investing in Nigeria, adding that a Russian health facility had also indicated interest in establishing a cancer centre in Nigeria, saying the Nigerian Ministry of Health was working out the modalities.
He said a Russian pharmaceutical company had also indicated interest in setting up an office in Nigeria to deepen the trade and investments between both countries.
He stressed that in spite of the Russia-Ukraine war there were still several opportunities to deepen bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Russia.
