A close associate of Nigerian music star Davido, identified as Denisi, popularly known on social media as Ego222, has reportedly passed away, sparking reactions online.
News of his alleged death surfaced after Joel Heugh Booysen shared a series of emotional posts on Instagram mourning the deceased and recalling their moments together.
In the posts, Booysen expressed shock and grief, describing Denisi as one of his closest friends and revealing that they had recently made plans to spend time together in South Africa.
“You all moved countries to be with me in South Africa. My closest friend, I just arranged things for us in South Africa. You created many bonds in this short time here. Cape Town is in mourning. Please wake up, brother,” the post read.
As of the time of filing this report, the exact circumstances surrounding Denisi’s reported death have not been made public, and no official statement has been issued regarding the cause.

However, interactions on social media suggest the two shared a close relationship. In December, Denisi had posted a message expressing pride in Davido’s achievements, to which the singer responded.
A check of Denisi’s social media page also shows that Davido, his wife Chioma Adeleke, and nightlife personality Cubana Chief Priest were among those following him online.
