Dangote Industries Limited (DIL) has launched a whistleblower initiative offering a ₦500,000 cash reward to members of the public who provide credible information leading to the arrest of individuals involved in the Illegal use of Dangote Trucks across Nigeria.

The company said the initiative forms part of a broader strategy to eliminate unauthorised haulage operations, safeguard its logistics assets and strengthen accountability across its nationwide transportation network.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Dangote Industries urged Nigerians to report any suspected misuse of trucks belonging to its subsidiaries, particularly where the vehicles are used to transport unauthorised goods or passengers.
According to the company, each category of Dangote trucks has been designated to transport only specific products.

Dangote Cement trucks are authorised to convey only cement, limestone, high-grade gypsum, coal and clinker, while Dangote Sugar Refinery trucks are restricted to transporting sugar products.
Similarly, trucks belonging to NASCON Allied Industries are approved exclusively for Dangote Salt and DanQ Seasoning products.
The company also stated that Dangote Packaging vehicles are meant solely for transporting bags and packaging materials, while Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals trucks are authorised to carry polypropylene products.
Dangote Fertiliser Limited vehicles, it added, are approved only for the transportation of urea fertiliser.
Dangote warned that any of its trucks found conveying unauthorised goods would be regarded as engaging in illegal haulage activities.
It stressed that drivers and owners of such goods could face arrest, confiscation of the cargo and prosecution in accordance with the law.
The company announced that anyone providing verifiable information leading to the arrest of offenders or the recovery of unauthorised goods transported on Dangote trucks would receive a cash reward of ₦500,000.
To assist investigations, whistleblowers are encouraged to provide details including the truck registration number, cab number, vehicle type, colour, location, description of the goods being transported and photographs where available.
Dangote Industries disclosed that dedicated hotlines have been established across its operations to receive reports of suspected illegal haulage activities.
The conglomerate further revealed that law enforcement agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, have been authorised to arrest drivers caught using Dangote trucks for unauthorised commercial haulage.
Reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy against logistics-related fraud, the company said the whistleblower programme is designed to promote transparency, compliance and accountability throughout its transportation operations.
Dangote Industries added that public cooperation remains vital to eliminating illegal haulage, protecting company assets and ensuring offenders are brought to justice.
