The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has released the final list of successful candidates for its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise into the rank of assistant superintendent of customs II, marking another milestone in the agency’s nationwide recruitment process.

In a statement issued on Monday, the National Public Relations Officer of the service, Abdullahi Maiwada, urged applicants to visit the official NCS website or check selected national newspapers to confirm their recruitment status and obtain details on the next phase of the exercise.

According to him, successful candidates will also receive notifications through their registered email addresses or SMS, containing instructions for the next stage of the recruitment process.

Maiwada explained that once notified, candidates must log into the designated recruitment portal using their National Identification Number (NIN) or registered email address to upload a valid medical fitness certificate issued by a government-recognised hospital.

He disclosed that the portal for uploading medical certificates will become active on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, and candidates will have one week to complete the process.

Successful applicants are also expected to update their current state of residence on the portal and formally accept their provisional appointment by clicking the “Accept Offer” button.

The customs spokesman added that candidates should await the issuance of their Trainee Identification Number, which will be communicated within a week after completing the required procedures.

He noted that details regarding documentation, physical screening, including dates, venues and required documents, will be communicated through official NCS channels.

Maiwada warned that failure to comply with any of the stipulated requirements or deadlines could lead to disqualification and the forfeiture of the provisional offer of appointment.

On behalf of the Nigeria Customs Service Board, the comptroller-general of customs congratulated all successful candidates, urging them to prepare for careers defined by professionalism, integrity and dedicated service to the nation.

The recruitment exercise, which began in 2024, is aimed at filling 3,927 vacancies across the superintendent, inspectorate and customs assistant cadres.

The online application portal closed in January 2025, while shortlisted candidates completed their final screening updates in May 2026.
