Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, has received a certificate of excellence for his first 100 days of impactful public relations at the just concluded 2024 SABRE African Public Relations Association (APRA) Award and annual conference held between May 13 and May 18, 2024 in Côte d’Ivoire.
In a statement made available to journalists, National Public Relations Officer of NCS, Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) Abdullahi Maiwada, who also attended the conference, said securing SABRE recognition speaks volumes to the winners’ creativity, integrity and effectiveness in public relations and governance, as it is the largest continental awards for Africa’s public relations industry.
Commenting on the award, CGC Adeniyi commended the organizers for the recognition, who said the recognition will inspire the Nigeria Customs Service even more and expressed the hope that it will provide impactful leadership in governance in Nigeria.

His words: “I also want to express my sincere gratitude to Image Merchants, those behind the Public Relations exploits in Nigeria, of course, it has been four days of networking, meeting with people and positive public relations- and I am optimistic that APRA will continue to wax stronger.”
It would be recalled that Adeniyi is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and an active member of the African Public Relations Association (APRA).
