A US court has awarded media personality Porsha Williams $40,000 as monthly alimony, a Rolls-Royce, and a stake in a $7 million mansion in a divorce settlement from Simon Guobadia.
The ruling followed Simon’s deportation to Nigeria, prompting the Real Housewives of Atlanta star to attend a virtual court session, where a judge issued a favourable decision for her.
The court upheld the couple’s pre-nuptial agreement, leading to Porsha being awarded a substantial monthly alimony of $40,000 for a duration of 14 to 15 months.
Additionally, as part of the settlement, Simon is not only obligated to cover all of Porsha’s legal expenses but is also required to transfer ownership of the luxurious Rolls-Royce he had previously gifted her.
Regarding their opulent $7 million mansion, which Simon originally acquired before their marriage, Porsha has been granted until 2027 to make a crucial decision.
She can either choose to remain in the property, in which case she must initiate refinancing to buy out Simon’s 50 percent equity stake, or she can opt to sell the home.

Until Porsha makes her decision, Simon will continue to be responsible for the home’s expenses, including ongoing mortgage payments.
The lengthy court hearing held on June 11 lasted nearly 10 hours and was characterized by a lack of direct communication between the former couple.
Reports indicate that Simon left the proceedings visibly upset and is now contemplating an appeal against the judge’s ruling.
He has a window of 30 days to formally challenge the decision.
The divorce proceedings were initiated by Porsha in February 2024, a mere 15 months following their wedding, highlighting the tumultuous nature of their relationship and the complexities involved in their financial and property arrangements.
