Gov. Diri’s aide appointed Coordinator of “Kids In Tourism Ghana-Africa” Initiative

The board of trustees of a child-friendly tourism organisation in Ghana, Kids In Tourism Ghana-Africa has unanimously approved the nomination of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Bayelsa State Governor on Tourism, Mr Piriye Kiyaramo, as the Nigerian Coordinator.
In a letter dated July 13, 2022, signed by the co-founder, Nana Akua Afriyie Asihene, the board stated that Kiyaramo’s appointment was based on his indomitable and ingenious track record of promoting child-friendly tourism in Nigeria and beyond, over the years.
The board noted that it acknowledged the pivotal role Mr Kiyaramo, popularly known as Mr Tourism, has played in promoting tourism in Nigeria and his consistent advocacy for kids tourism initiatives, coupled with his pioneering thoughts on the “Kids In Tourism Africa” initiative which is already yielding good results with the establishment of “Kids In Tourism South Africa”. The board, in the letter, stated that it was looking forward to having the privileged presence of Mr Kiyaramo at the second Annual Kids Tourism Festival in Accra Ghana.

Meanwhile, Mr Kiyaramo and the State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Samuel Numonengi, have been invited to the second edition of the Annual Kids Tourism Festival in Ghana as special guests.
The event, tagged “Junior Tourism Ambassador, with the theme: “Patriotism Through Tourism”, is being organised by Kids In Tourism Ghana-Africa in collaboration with Ghana Tourism Authority.
It will bring together 16 kids, representing the 16 regions of Ghana to introduce the tourism and cultural potentials of their regions to the world.
