Nigerian comedian and actor Bovi Ugboma is in mourning following the death of his father, Dr. Edward Sagini Ugboma.
Breaking the heartbreaking news on social media on Thursday, Bovi revealed that his father passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025.
“We, the Ugboma family, wish to announce the peaceful passing of our father, grandfather, and uncle, Dr. Edward Sagini Ugboma (PhD) on this day, the 13th of February 2025,” he wrote.
Dr. Edward Ugboma is survived by his children—Judy, Edna, Bovi, Zino, Tano, Tome, and Jiji—as well as numerous grandchildren and extended family members who now mourn his loss.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support and condolences, Bovi assured well-wishers that funeral arrangements would be announced soon.
