A coalition of young politicians under the aegis of Coalition of All Young Candidates and Youth Leaders in Nigeria and Diaspora has tasked the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to ensure implementation of the agreement entered into but the two parties.
The Coalition demanded from the party full implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) allegedly signed on ceding a certain percentage of positions to youth and women in ADC executive ahead of the party’s national convention.
In a letter dated March 10, 2022, made available to journalists in Abuja on Friday which was addressed to the National Chairman of ADC, the Coalition proposed a date for ADC national convention as well as outlining zoning formula in line with the MoU signed.
Signed by Hon. Vincent Anthony Ubani, the President General, copies of the letter were sent to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the ADC and Nigeria Youth Legal Team.

In the letter, the Coalition said a meeting between the two bodies to be held on Tuesday, March 15, will discuss “a resolution on the zoning formula and likewise the proposed date and strategies to hold the ADC National Convention”.
“On behalf of the Nigerian youths and women, Hon. Vincent Anthony Ubani President Coalition of All Young Candidates and Youth Leaders in Nigeria and Diaspora hereby present a proposal on convention date and zoning formula to the ADC national leadership and the legal team.
“National Convention: ADC/ Nigeria Youth/ Women to constitute Caretaker/Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee to oversee the National Convention.
For the April 23, 2022 convention, the Coalition proposed for the North Central, zone, positions of National Chairman, Deputy National Secretary,
Deputy National Legal Adviser and.
Deputy National Publicity Secretary.
Proposed for the South-South zone are positions of National Vice Chairman (South-South), National Publicity Secretary, National Women Leader, Deputy National Treasurer and Deputy National Welfare Secretary.
For the South-East zone are the following proposed positions; National Secretary,
National Vice Chairman (South West), National Youth Leader, National Physically Challenged Leader and Deputy National Auditor.
Proposed for South West are; Deputy National Chairman (South), National Vice Chairman (South East), National Treasurer, National Welfare Secretary and Deputy National Organising Secretary.
For the North East are; Deputy National Chairman (North), National Auditor,
National Vice Chairman (North-East),
Deputy National Financial Secretary and
Deputy National Women Leader.
Proposed for the North West are; National Vice Chairman (North West), National Legal Adviser, National Organising Secretary, National Financial Secretary and Deputy National Youth Leader.
