The 2025-2026 Volleyball Super Cup Championship concluded with an exhilarating showdown between the Chief of Naval Staff men and the Nigeria Customs men, captivating fans and spectators with thrilling performances on the volleyball court.
In the match between the CNS Spikers and the Nigerian Customs, CNS triumphed with a decisive victory, winning in straight sets (25–8, 25–15, 25–10) to secure the 2025 CGC Volleyball Super Cup championship.
CNS demonstrated strong teamwork, tightening their defense and enhancing their attack efficiency to turn the match in their favor and claim the gold medal trophy.
In another match, the Nigeria Correctional Service Spikers defeated the Defence Spikers 3–1 (25–22, 25–18, 23–25, 25–23) to take home the bronze medal.
The Correctional Service Spikers maintained their composure in the fourth set to seal their victory after the Defence Spikers attempted a comeback.
The 2025 CGC-sponsored Volleyball Super Cup brought together leading teams from the Nigeria Volleyball Premier League, showcasing elite club volleyball in the country.

At the awards ceremony following the final match, the President of the Nigerian Volleyball Federation, Musa Nimrod, expressed that the 2025 CGC Volleyball Super Cup championship met expectations.
Nimrod mentioned ongoing efforts to recruit more young and dynamic players, noting that some had already participated in the recently concluded championship.
While commending the Nigerian Customs for their unwavering partnership, he said under his leadership, the NVBF has developed plans to enhance grassroots scouting for young talent.
With a series of tournaments on the horizon, this initiative is essential for improving Nigeria’s performance in volleyball on a global scale.
Acknowledging President Tinubu’s commendable efforts, he assured Nigerians of certain victories in 2026 and beyond.
Nimrod expressed satisfaction with the eight-day tournament, calling it a success. He also emphasized the importance of players and officials preparing for both beach volleyball and traditional volleyball categories.
He stated that there would be strict regulations against players switching between beach volleyball and traditional volleyball, asserting that such flexibility would not be permitted in future competitions.
