A male child born on Christmas Day to the family of Mr Isaac Okon has received gifts from the wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom state Mrs Patience Umo Eno.
The gift followed an age-long tradition of the office of the First Lady of the state who normally traced to know the baby born in the state by midnight breaking the Christmas Day.
The wife of the governor made an early morning visit to the General Hospital, Ikot Ekpene, where the newborn baby was born and presented the baby with gift items.
It was gathered that the baby was put to birth at 00:03 hours weighing 3.8kg to herald the Christmas Day celebration in the state.
Mrs Eno while making the presentation at the hospital, expressed joy and happiness for the safe arrival of the baby and prayed that he would herald God’s blessings on the family and the state at large.
“I thank God for the mother of the star baby, for giving birth to a son on a Christmas day which is very significant. I pray that just like God nurtured Jesus Christ His son, and made him who He is to the world today, that boy shall also live to fulfil purpose and destiny. He will be a great man like Jesus, God will spare his life, and make him a blessing to his family. Every other child given birth to today are all special, God will make them so, their parents will ever celebrate giving birth to them on a day like this, that is my prayer and more for them in Jesus name, Amen.”
