Inter Milan ace striker Edin Dzeko will be having a reunion with his former teammate and Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah as the duo clash in the Round of 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday.
Salah, who formed a formidable attacking partnership with Dzeko at Roma, will be arriving in Italy with Liverpool to slug it out with Dzeko at the San Siro Stadium on Wednesday, 16 February 2022.
The Liverpool forward during his spell at Chelsea wasn’t given enough room to discover his full potential. His career made a huge advancement in 2015 on arriving at Roma after a promising spell at Fiorentina.
Salah’s combination with Dzeko rejuvenated Luciano Spaletti’s side as the duo scored a total of 58 goals in all competition in the 2016/2017 season while the aging, legendary Francesco Totti watched from the substitute bench.
Despite Salah’s inconsistency, the duo were able to ensure that Roma finished second on the table in the 2016/17 season of the Italian Serie A.

Salah left Roma in 2017 for Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s secured his services at £43m which in monetary comparison to his superb deliveries at the Merseyside that establishes him as one of the world’s best footballers, the sum is paltry.
According to Edin Dzeko, he noted that his partnership with Salah made Liverpool forward what he is today.
He exemplified the captain of the Pharaohs of Egypt who he described as a nice fellow.
In his statement to the media, Dzeko said, “I must say, in some little way, I helped Momo become what he is now.
“We had a great time together in Rome. I’m so happy for him, a great guy who deserves everything he has achieved,” he added.
Dzeko who joined Inter Milan to fill the vacuum left by Romeu Lukaku who moved to Chelsea has been of great impact to the club.
Though not as prolific as Lukaku, the captain of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team has been able to prove his worth to the fans of Internationale who now have fewer moments to think about Lukaku’s absence.
More so, he has netted about 14 goals in all competitions this season for Inter Milan.
