Manchester City and Chelsea have been fixed for a cracker in the third round of the Carabao Cup in fixtures that will also have Manchester United battle with Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa.
The third-round fixture drew seven Premier League sides against each other with Manchester City battling Chelsea in their first-season clash in Etihad Stadium.
In Old Trafford, coach Erik ten Hag will tackle Aston Villa while Mikel Arteta’s club, Arsenal, will travel to American Express Community Stadium to face Brighton.
Meanwhile, the defending champions Liverpool will host League 1 side Derby County in Anfield as Tottenham travel to battle newcomers Nottingham Forest.

Certainly, after the third-round clashes, seven Premier League clubs will not proceed to the next stage of the Carabao Cup.
The third-round fixtures are scheduled for November 8, 2022.
