Former Rangers midfielder, Charlie Miller, said Rangers defender, Calvin Bassey, will be on his way out of the club this summer if the right bid is tendered on the table.
Miller noted that the player was a solid rock in the defensive line for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s team that championed a campaign to the UEFA Europa League final at Seville and this has attracted attention from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs.
The 22-year-old Super Eagle, who has five caps for Nigeria’s senior men’s football team, featured 50 times for the Gers last season where he provided 6 assists including one in the Europa League’s 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund.
According to Miller, the exit of Bassey along with some prominent players, who were significant in Rangers’ last season campaign like Bassey’s fellow Super Eagles teammate, Joe Aribo, will pose a challenge to Bronckhorst.

In an interaction with Glasgow Live, the former Gers midfielder stressed that with about £25m to £30m for Bassey, he would be sold.
He said, “I think Calvin Bassey will be away with a £25 or £30 million bid.
“There might be three or four others who could go. Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo, Allan McGregor. It’s a bit of a rebuilding job for Giovanni,” Miller opined.
He explained that though the exit of these players from Ibrox will pose a challenge to the Dutch manager, he added that the money acquired from their sales would help rebuild the squad with the right signings.
“But with the wages they recoup and transfer fees they get for these players, it should give him a hefty budget, especially after the European run,” said Miller.
He advised the board to give their utmost support to Bronckhorst recounting that Steven Gerrard over the years at Ibrox benefited from such leverage.
