Grammy-winning Afrobeats star Burna Boy received more than birthday wishes as he celebrated his 35th birthday, with his mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, urging him to settle down, get married and have children.

The Afrobeats superstar wished for good health and continued prosperity.

Before he could finish, Bose Ogulu playfully interrupted, encouraging him to also pray for “a good wife and children.” Her remark drew laughter and smiles from family members and friends attending the celebration.

The light-hearted exchange quickly attracted attention online, with fans commenting on the mother’s heartfelt advice and expressing differing views on whether the singer should consider starting a family.

Burna Boy has previously explained why he remains unmarried and has no children.

In an earlier interview, the award-winning artiste said his demanding international music career leaves him with little time to dedicate to family life. He added that he does not intend to have children outside marriage and would only become a father when he is able to be fully present in raising them.

The birthday celebration has since continued to trend across social media, with many fans applauding Bose Ogulu’s motherly advice while others defended Burna Boy’s decision to choose the timing that best suits his personal and professional life.
