Founder of BUA Group, Abdul Samad Rabiu, has announced a $1.5 million incentive package for the Super Eagles following their 2–0 victory over Algeria, a move aimed at motivating the national team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations semifinals and final.

Rabiu disclosed that the financial pledge was designed to spur the players to greater heights as Nigeria intensifies its push for the AFCON title. According to him, the Super Eagles will earn $500,000 for winning the semifinal match, with an additional $50,000 promised for every goal scored in that encounter.

He further revealed that if Nigeria goes on to win the final, the team will receive an extra $1 million. In addition, players will be rewarded with $100,000 for each goal scored in the final, significantly raising the total incentive on offer.

The pledge follows Nigeria’s impressive quarterfinal victory over Algeria, a result that has boosted confidence within the camp and strengthened belief among fans that the Super Eagles can lift the continental trophy.

Rabiu’s announcement has drawn widespread praise across the country, with many Nigerians hailing the gesture as a strong show of private sector support for the national team.

Supporters say the pledge reflects growing national belief in the Super Eagles as they chase AFCON glory and seek to add another title to Nigeria’s football history.
