The Commander of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army, and Sector 3 of Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, has commended troops for their dedication and bravery in the ongoing military operation, Operation Lafiyan Jamaa.
The large-scale offensive, launched across all 16 Local Government Areas of Taraba State, aims to dismantle bandit networks infiltrating the state from neighboring regions.
According to a statement released to the media by the Brigade’s spokesperson, Captain Oni Olubodunde, the operation seeks to restore peace and security, ensuring that residents can carry out their daily activities, including farming, without fear.
Addressing troops at Andami in Karim Lamido Local Government Area after a successful clearance mission, General Uwa praised their relentless efforts in flushing out criminal elements.

“The successes recorded so far are a testament to your dedication and professionalism. However, we must not relent. We must remain vigilant, decisive, and proactive in ensuring that Taraba State remains secure,” General Uwa stated.
The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to restoring lasting peace and stability in Taraba and beyond. Authorities also called on the public to support security efforts by providing credible intelligence that could aid ongoing operations.
