President Bola Tinubu is currently meeting with members of the Lagos State House of Assembly at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, in what is believed to be a high-stakes intervention following the recent leadership crisis in the state legislature.
Sources confirmed that Speaker Mudashiru Obasa arrived at the villa at approximately 2:50 p.m., while other lawmakers had earlier arrived in two coaster buses.
The emergency meeting comes in the wake of a dramatic political showdown that saw Obasa impeached by some of his colleagues, only to be reinstated after intervention by key political figures, including the influential Governing Advisory Council (GAC).
