Tension is currently high amongst ten aspirants as accreditation of delegates for Delta State governorship primaries begins at the Event Center, Asaba.
Delegates are expected to first be cleared at the event center before proceeding to the Steven Keshi Stadium to cast their votes for their preferred aspirant. The Trumpet Gathered
Eleven aspirants picked up their nomination form for the governorship primaries of the PDP scheduled for today, 25th May 2022, in what has turned into a two-horse race between the Urhobos and Ijaws.

However, one of the aspirants, Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi, has backed out of the contest following an alleged threat to his life by the incumbent governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
Those left in the contest are, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, Peter Mrakpor (SAN), Barrister Kingsley B. Otuaro, Senator James Manager, Barrister Fred Majemite and Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi.
Others are Olorogun David Edevbie, Hon. Ejaife Odebala, Chief Abel Esievo, Dr Braduce Angozi and Sir Bright Onajefe-Gift.
