Being Born Again not enough to enter Heaven

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said in the book of John chapter 3 verse 3 that except one is being born again, the person cannot see the Kingdom of God talk less of entering it. The book of Matthew chapter 18 verses 1-3 also says that unless one is converted like a little child, the person cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

So, it takes a person being “born again” to see the Kingdom of God and it also takes being converted like a little child to enter into the Kingdom of God.

Let us now look at these issues one after the other.

The first instruction given to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is for those interested in making Heaven and living a godly and prosperous life on earth without sorrow is to be born again. What does it then mean to be born again?

To be born again is to be born a second time in the spirit world. The first birth was when God breathed the breath of life into the nostril of Adam and Adam became a living soul.

Adam had two spirits (two kinds of breath) to keep him alive in the spirit world and on earth. While the normal spirit that keeps the soul of any animal alive kept him alive in the physical world to connect with the earth, the Holy Spirit, the breath of life from God directly was supposed to keep him alive in the spiritual world to relate with God who is a spirit.

Therefore, Adam experienced the first birth of the Spirit of God after God breathed on him the breath of eternal life. The breath of eternal life was however taken away from both him and Eve when they sinned and were driven away from the Garden of Eden.

And since the first breath of eternal life was taken away from man, the spirit of man did not have access anymore to relate with the Spirit of God, hence the spirit of man was dead in the sight of God.

So, the fallen Adam and his descendants did not have access to God anymore and God was now relating with men through other means like the sending of angels to send messages and instructions. The closest however God related to man before Jesus Christ came into the world was in the time of Moses when God appeared to Moses and talked with him face to face.

But today, once you are born again, you can now have direct access to God Almighty the way Adam had direct access to God in the Garden of Eden.

Therefore, to be born again is not optional but compulsory to inherit the restored kingdom of God.

Adam was living in the kingdom of God but was driven out after he sinned but today anyone that wants to be in the restored kingdom of God can now have access through Jesus Christ only.

So, what is the process of receiving the breath of God the second time after Adam lost it? Answer: The process is just by accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour of the world. The process, therefore, has been made very simple. All anyone who wants this breath of life to become a living soul needs to do is to accept the sacrifice of Christ as the only begotten Son of God who came to restore the fellowship between man and God through His death and resurrection, and declare his or her loyalty to the new kingdom headed by Christ. After this confession of Jesus Christ as Lord, the person also needs to stick to the new ways of the Kingdom by living a holy and righteous life always.

However, as a little child learning to walk may stumble for some time before perfecting the art of walking and even running, the new born in Christ may stumble for some time and fall into sin at times but as soon as he or she masters the tactics of staying holy, he or she will now be admitted to a higher realm of being totally converted, whereby he or she will become truly a new creation in Christ Jesus. So to be born again and be converted

In conclusion, being born again is the first of the processes of getting established in the Kingdom of God. The next in the process is to become converted and be like a little child before Go. As a little child, your business is to remain humble and act on the instructions of God always.

A child, right from the time he or she is born depends solely on the provisions of the parents for sustenance. An infant feeds from the breast milk of the mother until he or she is ripe for regular meals. In the same way, when you are born again and move ahead to be converted, you depend solely on the Word of God in everything you do and your provisions come directly from God, hence you can never be stranded.

It is therefore important to become born again as well as move on to become converted in order to be established in the Kingdom of God.

If you say you are now born again into the Kingdom of God and still take pleasure in sin and the works of the devil, you are not born again. Once you are truly born again according to the commandments of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God will dwell in you and sin will now be smelling bad before you. In fact, you will regret all the years you wasted in life living in sin and sin will become an enemy that must be avoided for you to make good use of your remaining years in life.

All the sufferings today whether as individuals or as a nation are all consequences of sin and the only way out is to regret and repent of your sins, and remain committed to obeying the Word of God always.

If you do a little research on the world today, all nations are either benefiting or suffering from either the past obedience of the Word of God or disobedience to the Word of God. Let us stop here for this week.

God bless us in Jesus Name.
