Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich said they need €50m to allow Barcelona-sought striker Robert Lewandoski to leave in the summer.
The Polish striker, who has reportedly agreed with Barcelona after failing to renew his contract to extend his one-year contract beyond 2023 at Allianz Arena, will have a hurdle to cross to arrive at Camp Nou.
Bayern do not want to sell the 33-year-old but Lewandowski’s refusal to renew his contract and his insistence on leaving Allianz Arena has forced the German giants to place a price tag stressing that the money will be paid once. The Trumpet Gathered
According to a report by Barca Universal, citing Catalunya Radio, “the fact that Bayern Munich might be getting closer to signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool may have played a role in them loosening their stance.
“With the Reds signing Darwin Nunez, they are ready to offload Mane to Bayern, which, in turn, could lead to Lewandowski’s exit.

“Barcelona’s financial situation is not the healthiest currently and a move for the 33-year-old might have to wait until the club completes some player sales while Joan Laporta & co. also look to trigger the economic levers, subject to a vote from the assembly,” it added.
Barca Universal also reported that Lewandowski has been attracting interest from the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. But the former Borussia Dortmund star is prepared to wait for Barcelona to get the deal across the line.
