The army says its troops have rescued at least 11 kidnapped victims and arrested several suspected terrorists and their criminal collaborators during coordinated nationwide operations conducted within the past 24 hours.
In a statement shared on its official Facebook page on Tuesday, the army said the operations recorded “significant operational successes across multiple theatres,” adding that troops dealt “decisive blows to terrorists, rescued kidnapped victims, and disrupted criminal networks.”
In the North-East, the army said troops arrested a suspected ISWAP/JAS logistics courier in Ngamdu, Borno State, who allegedly confessed to supporting insurgent activities around Gubio and Magumeri.
Two additional suspected collaborators linked to a terrorist kingpin were also apprehended in Monguno, where security forces recovered phones, wristwatches, cash, and other items believed to be linked to insurgent activity.
Also, the army confirmed the rescue of six kidnapped victims in Bauchi State, noting that search-and-rescue operations remain ongoing in affected communities.
In Yobe State, troops intercepted a truck in Nguru, allegedly transporting pharmaceutical products under false declaration.
The army said the driver and three others were taken into custody.
Elsewhere in the North-West, a suspected drug trafficker was arrested in Katsina State with cannabis, while in Zamfara State troops rescued two abducted personnel of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), neutralised threats, and arrested a suspected terrorist.
In Plateau State, troops foiled cattle rustling attempts, recovered 92 cattle, and rescued an injured herder.
Two suspects were also arrested with firearms, ammunition, phones, and cash.

In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), soldiers raided an illegal mining site and seized equipment used for excavation activities.
In Rivers State, illegal crude oil refining facilities were uncovered and destroyed, while in Edo State, a suspected kidnapper was arrested during a joint security operation.
The army reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and maintaining national security, urging citizens to continue providing credible intelligence to security agencies.
