Police in Adamawa State, said they have successfully apprehended the armed robbers responsible for the recent attack on Mohammed Abubakar Sadiq Wali, Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources Development.

The commissioner was assaulted at his residence on Chiroma Street in Yola on Sunday night, where the perpetrators stole his Toyota Hilux vehicle and other valuables after inflicting injuries.

Meanwhile, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has alleged that certain individuals in the state are sponsoring criminal activities aimed at disrupting peace.

In a statement released by his Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri emphasized that his administration would not tolerate any attempts to incite citizens to take the law into their own hands.

The governor expressed concern over credible intelligence indicating plans by some youths to break into government and private warehouses in the state.

He urged those with grievances to utilize available channels to address their concerns rather than resorting to acts of sabotage, vowing to uphold law and order in Adamawa state.
