APC gets over N19b from sale of forms for aspirants, still counting

All Progressives Congress (APC) has raked in N19,940,000,000 in the ongoing sale of nomination forms to aspirants vying for various positions ahead of the June 3 deadline for party primaries fixed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The party may still be counting the windfall from the exercise as deadline for sale of form was extended to accommodate more interested aspirants.

Information from the office of the National Organising Secretary of APC, Alhaji Sulaiman Arugungu, said the party as at the weekend has so far realized a total sum of N1,500,000,00 from 15 aspirants that picked the Presidential nomination forms at N100 million each.

The party made N2,400,000,000 from 48 governorship aspirants that have so far obtained forms at the cost of N50 million each. The NOS added that 241 senatorial aspirants have picked forms at the rate of N20 million each, totalling N820,000,000.

According to him, a sum of N8,210,000,000 was realized from 821 aspirants that picked the party’s House of Representatives forms at the cost of N10 million each. Arugungu said APC has so far made a sum of N3,010,000,000 from 1,505 aspirants who picked States House of Assembly forms at N2 million each.
